Changelog

What's new.

Features, improvements, and fixes — what we shipped, when, and why it matters.

  1. ·Feature

    Help center and in-app walkthroughs

Launched a Resource Center at /help with 14 in-depth articles covering staging, video generation, MLS compliance, and billing. Three guided walkthroughs (Create Project, Getting Started, AI Editing) are accessible from the Help button in the editor topbar and from each help article.

  2. ·Feature

Upgrade prompt on the video preview page

Free users now see an upgrade modal the first time they view a watermarked video. It shows the target plan's price, top features, and any active promo code pre-applied at checkout so the click-to-discounted-checkout path is a single hop.

  3. ·Polish

    Refreshed landing page

Marketing site reworked with a live editor demo in the hero, a 4-step "How it works" section, refreshed pricing cards showing credits per plan, the navbar converted to a full-width sticky bar, and a CTO bio on the About page.

  4. ·Fix

Title card toggle persists across reloads

If you disabled a title card and reloaded the project, the toggle was silently snapping back to enabled and losing your edit. It now persists correctly via the project's settings.

  5. ·Feature

    Kids Room staging styles

Pick Kids Room as the room type and the Style dropdown swaps to age-appropriate options: Whimsical, Modern Kids, Adventure, Nursery, and Pre-Teen.

  6. ·Polish

AI Edit panel remembers the active version

Opening the AI Edit panel on an image with edited versions now pre-fills the panel with the active version's settings instead of resetting to defaults. Re-running the same edit (or tweaking it) is one click.

  7. ·Improvement

Smoother color picker on heavy projects

Dragging the color slider on a project with a long timeline no longer jitters or piles up a long undo trail. Each adjustment commits once, when you settle on a color.

  8. ·Feature

Gradient, stroke, and shadow for text overlays

Studio text panel now supports gradient fills, strokes, and drop shadows. The overlay was also restructured to separate the box, text fill, and highlight layer so each can be styled independently.

  9. ·Improvement

    Faster, less cluttered font picker

Trimmed the font catalog to 10 well-loved options and clamped weights so the picker dropdown loads instantly. Existing projects that used one of the previous fonts still work; they're restored on demand when their project opens.

  10. ·Polish

Quick-remove background fill on text pills

Added a single-click 'Background fill: none' option for preset pill backgrounds so removing them no longer takes a trip through three sub-panels.

  11. ·Fix

    Editor reliability fixes

Four bugs squashed in one batch: client-side compression for large phone photos before upload, clips that got stuck on "processing" after a network blip, duplicate completion notifications, and wrong image being assigned to newly added timeline clips.

  12. ·Fix

Text opacity respects animations + highlights

Text overlays with both an animation and a highlight applied were ignoring the opacity slider during the animated portion. Fixed.

  13. ·Fix

    Reliable rendering for large videos

Final video renders over 100MB were failing silently. Resolved so any project you can build in the editor renders end-to-end regardless of output size.

  14. ·Feature

    Site-wide announcement banner

Added a banner across the top of the marketing site for launches, scheduled maintenance, and limited-time promos.

  15. ·Fix

    Download Video actually downloads

The Download Video button was opening the MP4 in a new browser tab on some browsers instead of triggering a save dialog. Fixed across Chrome, Safari, and Firefox.

  16. ·Fix

    Non-destructive image removal

Deleted images were causing render failures when they were still referenced by a video on the timeline. Removing an image from your library now hides it from view but keeps it available to any historical render that needs it. Your finished videos don't break.

  17. ·Feature

Exterior effects, 4K upscaling, and motion presets

Six one-click exterior re-lighting and seasonal effects (Twilight, Winter, Halloween, Christmas, Green Grass, Bright Day) for front-of-house, backyard, patio, and pool shots. Plus a 4K upscaler for hero photos and a refreshed library of motion presets for the timeline.

  18. ·Feature

    Credit top-ups, free-user limits, and room-type filtering

Agent and Pro plans can now buy credit top-ups mid-cycle without waiting for renewal. Free-tier limits are explicit and enforced. The image library got a room-type filter so you can jump straight to "kitchens" or "exteriors" in a long photo set.

  19. ·Improvement

Close the tab during a render

Video generation no longer ties up your editor session. Click Generate, close the tab, and we'll email you when the render is ready. The new version shows up under the project's Versions tab automatically.

  20. ·Fix

    Resolution limits enforced with feedback

Selecting 1080p on a plan that does not include it used to silently fall back to 720p at render time. Now the picker disables 1080p with a clear "Upgrade to unlock" hint, and the Generate Video modal calls it out explicitly.

  21. ·Feature

    Interior holiday effects

Added Christmas and Halloween interior variants alongside Interior Twilight in the Style dropdown of the One-click Staging section. Use them for seasonal social posts where you don't want to restage the whole room.

  22. ·Feature

    AI Image Editing launched

One-click AI staging is live. Add furniture and decor to empty rooms, destage cluttered rooms, or transform photos with 13 design styles. Shipped alongside the 3x credit system that prices staging at 1 credit and video clips at 3 credits.

  23. ·Feature

    Reuse clips across projects

Generate a video clip once, drop it into any future project at zero credit cost. Your library of generated clips grows with every project; the costs go down with every reuse.

  24. ·Feature

    Free tier gets watermarked exports

Free accounts can now generate full videos with a Reel Estate watermark instead of being limited to previews. You see exactly what the platform produces before committing to a paid plan.

  25. ·Feature

    Project duplication

Duplicate any project from your dashboard to start a new listing video with the same timeline, settings, and overlays. Useful for spinning up a vertical-social variant from a finished horizontal listing video.

  26. ·Feature

    Yearly subscription pricing

Pay for a year up front and save versus monthly billing. Yearly plans receive the full annual credit allotment up front with the same per-action costs.
